This 12-week curriculum is designed for intermediate-level musicians who have a solid foundation in music theory, technique, and band dynamics. Students will explore a wider range of genres, delve deeper into improvisation, and develop advanced songwriting skills.

Week 1-4: Genre Exploration
Expanded Genre Study:, Blues, funk, rock, and other contemporary genres
Analyzing and understanding the stylistic elements of each genre
Advanced Chord Progressions:
Complex chord voicings and progressions
Modal interchange and harmonic substitution
Improvisation Techniques:
Pentatonic scales, blues scales, and melodic patterns
Developing a personal improvisational style

Week 5-8: Songwriting and Arranging
