Class: Acoustic Guitar Ensemble
Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Duration: 12 Weeks
Class Format: 2 Hours/Week
Hour 1: Music Theory and Analysis: Dive deep into the building blocks of music, exploring concepts like scales, chords, and key signatures. Gain a solid understanding of musical structure and theory.
Hour 2: Instrument-Specific Repertoire: Apply your newfound knowledge to practical instrument playing. Work on a variety of repertoire pieces, honing your technique and developing your musical expression.
Week 1-4: Building a Foundation
Basic Music Theory:
Staff notation
Note values and rhythms
Major and minor scales
Basic chord structures (major, minor, and 7th chords)
Guitar Techniques:
Proper hand positioning and posture
Basic strumming patterns
Fingerpicking techniques (alternate picking, arpeggios)
Week 5-8: Ensemble Playing
